Patricia Joan (Spear) Mewha

November 1929 - September 2025

If you ever picked up a knitted catnip mouse for your cat you knew Pat Mewha’s work. The cats in this town will miss her. On Saturday, September 6, Patricia Joan Mewha passed away at home in her 96th year. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Lewy) Ruegg, grandson Allen, granddaughter Caroline (Kyle Erickson) and great granddaughter Isla Ruegg. Pat was predeceased by her husband James Mewha (1998) and infant son James Allen Mewha (1956) and many loving cats. A private family service will be held and cremation has taken place. Donations would be appreciated to the Fort Erie SPCA or the Fort Erie Public Library.
