Robert John Quin

March 23, 1939 - August 20, 2025

Major Robert John Quin (retired) passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025 at his home in Crystal Beach. Bob was surrounded by his daughters Rachel Quin, Pamela Skinner, his sister Dianne Quin, niece Becky Orcutt and his ever faithful cat Tiger. Bob was predeceased by his parents Bertram Sr. and Evelyn Quin, his 2 brothers Bert Jr., Richard and his daughter Cathy Crawford. Bob is also survived by step-children Waren (Jane) and Kari (Gord) and two grandchildren Samanth and Rachel and nieces Laura Pisani, Carol Pere and Jeanette Wintemute. 

Bob served in both the United States Navy and the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve where he attained the rank of Major. For the last 20+ years Bob worked at Home Depot in Niagara Falls and prior to that for Bell Mobility and Bell Canada. 

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Scher and the nurses of Niagara Palliative Care and the PSWs who took such good care of Bob in his final days. We also wish to extend out thanks to the staff of Passages End of Life Services for their compassionate care of Bob on his final journey. 

A celebration of life will take place at All Saints Anglican Church in Ridgeway, date yet to be determined. Donations to Bob's memory can be made to the Fort Erie SPCA.
